Darlaston are in league action at The Paycare Stadium tomorrow afternoon

Simon Cox14 Mar - 16:27

Tomorrows game is so important in both club's season's for very different reasons. DARLASTON NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

Darlaston Town have two really important games at The Paycare Stadium in five days which could decide their season. Firstly, tomorrow they welcome Bedworth United for a Northern Premier League Midlands Division fixture, Bedworth travelling to the Paycare Stadium for the first time and next Wednesday evening Darlaston welcome the clubs great friends from Chasetown to the Paycare Stadium for a Walsall Senior Cup Semi-Final.

Bedworth United will travel up the M6 to The Payacre Stadium for their first ever visit and are just are currently just above the relegation places in 18th place and of their thirty-two games played so far this season they have won six, drawn nine and lost seventeen and in their last six they have drawn two and lost four.

Darlaston travelled to The Oval the home of Bedworth in early November, Bedworth winning 3-1 with goals from Martin, Stone and Parrott, this after Darlaston had taken the lead through Kieran Cook.

The Greenbacks run of recent form has seen losses on the road at Boldmere St. Michaels 2-1 followed by a 6-0 defeat at runaway league leaders Quorn. At home they have lost against inform Long Eaton 3-1 and Anstey Nomads 4-2 but have secured draws at home against Hinckley Leicester Road and last Saturday at AFC Rushden & Diamonds. Bedworth are only one point above the relegation zone with Rugby Town and Lye Town within 4 points of the Greenbacks every game will be huge for all 3 clubs until the end of the season.

Darlaston, after suffering the disappointment of last Saturday’s loss against Boldmere Town at the Paycare Stadium, played a mid-week friendly at Wolverhampton Sporting Community winning 2-0 and also trained on yesterday evening to prepare for tomorrow’s important fixture.

As usual, the gates will open at 1.00 p.m. along with the bar which will be serving its usual pre-match hot and cold freshly cooked food.
