Darlaston Town yesterday said goodbye to a striker following an approach from a Midlands based step 3 club.
Rivel Mardenborough joined Darlaston Town from Paget Rangers at the beginning of the 2022/23 season and during his time with the club has made 104 appearance (16 from the bench) scoring 32 goals.
Despite playing at Hednesford Town for a short while at the beginning of last season Rivel returned to the Paycare Stadium at the end of September to play his part along with others in Darlaston play off winning season to earn promotion from the Midland Football League Premier Division into the Northern Premier League.
In addition to losing Rivel the club will be saying goodbye to his father Dwayne who has supported the club home and away during Rivel’s time with us. All the very best Dwayne.
In speaking on behalf of the club and the supporters I am sure everyone would like to thank Rivel for his efforts over the past three seasons and wish him well for the remainder of this season and his future endeavours.
