Darlaston Town Announce their Pre-Season Friendlies

Manager Dean Gill's side will play eight pre-season friendlies against opposition from step 3 to step 7 of the National League Structure

Darlaston Town are delighted to announce their pre-season games, in preparation for their inaugural season in Division One of the Midland Football League which starts on 7th August 2021. Once again, the Darlaston squad will face teams from Step 3 to Step 7 of the National League Structure.

Manager Dean Gill’s squad and management team have really impressed since joining the club, and with the possible addition of new players to the squad between now and the seasons start on 7th August could make the squad stronger, that’s on the assumption that all the players Manager Gill and his Management Team want to keep stay and play next season

Expectation is bound to be high amongst the clubs’ supporters especially after the performances in recent friendlies, there is a real buzz around the Paycare Ground at the quality of football Gill’s side is playing. But nothing is “a given” in the football world especially in non-league, as Darlaston will face many new clubs such as Heath Hayes, Ashby Ivanhoe Coventry Copsewood, Hinkley, Atherstone Town, many of which occupied the top half of the Division last season.

The full pre-season programme of games ALL BEING PLAYED AT THE PAYCARE GROUND are as follows:-

Saturday 3rd July Tipton Town Home Kick Off 3 pm

Wednesday 7th July Stafford Town Home Kick Off 7.30 pm

Saturday 10th July Dudley Sports Home Kick Off 3 pm

Tuesday 13th July Sutton Coldfield Home Kick Off 7.30 pm

Saturday 17th July Willenhall Town Home Kick Off 3 pm

Saturday 24th July Alvechurch Home Kick Off 3 pm

Wednesday 28th July Highgate United Home Kick Off 7.30 pm

Saturday 31st July Chasetown Home Kick Off 3 pm

All fixtures are now listed on the club website.

Entrance fees are to be decided and will be published closer to the start of the games, but subject to Government and FA Guidance it is expected that spectators will be welcomed to every game.

Further details of the new League season and FA Vase draw will be published as soon as they are made available to the club.
