It’s going to be an exciting 2 weeks and my aim will be to stay calm and ensure we’re as ready

Like any 51 year old Dad of 4 and Grandad of 2 I did what anyone would do after losing 5-4 last weekend - I sulked like an absolute baby for 3 days, absolutely fuming! However, I picked up my toys and by Tuesday was back in the game - if you know that feeling you bloody know it …

Another week of hard work that ends in frustration, yesterday’s postponement is our 13th or 14th of this crazy season - simply mind blowing. It’s no coincidence that 3 of the current top 5 all play on plastic.

Yesterday’s postponement means we will now play 7 games in 14 days, 20.5% of the seasons league games in 14 days of a c.280 day season!

The above data are facts and most certainly not an excuse(s) - our season is still in our hands. We’re still one of 6 clubs looking for 5 places and with everything still in their hands, with another couple of clubs on brilliant runs who will be looking for slip ups and to capitalise.

As difficult as the next 2 weeks are we know for definite;

- 4 wins guarantees 7th
- 5 wins and a draw guarantees 6th
- 7 wins guarantees 5th

The above results are based on everyone winning all their own remaining games and with 14 head to heads of the top 7 still to go we know there has to be points dropped in 9 games that we’re not involved. It’s going to be an exciting 2 weeks and my aim will be to stay calm and ensure we’re as ready as we can be over the last 14 days of the season.

We have till 5pm on Thursday to make any signings and I’ll be looking to do something if the right players are available.

Hopefully, we can get as much support as possible over the next 2 weeks, it could be vital.

Have a great week and we’ll see you at home on Saturday vs Stourport.

Dean
