Despite Darlaston's best endeavours, Quorn showed why they are League Champions by taking the win

Simon Cox30 Mar - 15:51

Darlaston's play-off hopes were virtually ended yesterday, but that does not deter from the Fantastic season the club has had on the pitch

At The Paycare Stadium yesterday afternoon Darlaston welcomed the newly crowned League Champions, The Citizens paid due respect to the new League Champions with a guard of honour as they entered the pitch.

The result did not go Darlaston's way because Quorn added another win to their impressive total, with a good performance, but Darlaston did not lie down, to a man they worked as hard as usual and certainly did not give up their slim play off hopes without a fight.

Everyone connected with Darlaston Town should be extremely proud of what has been achieved on the pitch this season, everyone's favourites for relegation before a ball was kicked, how wrong they were, everyone needs to understand the huge strides forward that have been taken over the past few seasons
