The club has recently learned that last season’s goalkeeper Tom Allsopp has decided to leave Darlaston Town and play for an unnamed club.
Allsopp was signed from Step 6 side Chelmsley Town in November last year making his debut in a big local derby against Dudley Town. Tom went on to make 26 appearances for the club and during his time at the club proved to be a larger than life character.
In Tom’s last 7 league games of the seasons assisted by his teammates they produced a magical run which produced 7 wins, and in the process no goals were conceded.
On losing his goalkeeper Manager Dean Gill said “Tom was a huge part of our promotion and will be forever remembered at Darlaston for his contribution in the second half of the season.”
