Darlaston tomorrow welcome Chasetown to The Paycare Stadium once again, for what is fast becoming an annual fixture, which always seems to take place on the Saturday before the Extra Preliminary Round of the Emirates FA Cup. This season Darlaston are drawn at home again to face Racing Club Warwick, whereas Chasetown enter the competition in the Preliminary Round when they will travel to the winners of Boldmere St. Michaels or Lichfield City. Chasetown’s league season starts 12th August the same as Darlaston’s
Chasetown will as always send a strong squad to The Paycare Stadium for the game which over recent encounters has proved to be an exceptionally good test for both clubs.
Darlaston this week have not played since losing to Sporting Khalsa 2-1 last Saturday, as the focus has moved from playing onto training and the squad have trained exceptionally hard with three sessions, including a trip to The Junction Boxing Gym in Bushbury where owner Kevin Blower put the squad through a punishing circuit training session.
Tomorrow’s game is Darlaston’s penultimate game of pre-season following the arrangement of a new game taking place next Wednesday evening at The Paycare Stadium against West Midlands Regional League Division One side Sikh Hunters, in preparation for Saturday’s season opener.
We hope many Darlaston fans will make the trip to The Paycare Stadium tomorrow.
