Darlaston Town are on another quick turnaround tomorrow evening when they travel to Worcester City for a rearranged league fixture. Darlaston lost on Saturday to the leagues in form team Long Eaton United 2-0, whereas Worcester City won at Boldmere St. Michaels 2-0, therefore tomorrow evening‘s game is an importance fixture for both third placed Worcester City and seventh placed Darlaston Town who will both be looking to come away from tomorrow nights game with a win.

Worcester’s form of late has been good winning four of their last six games, losing and drawing once. The draw was at Coleshill Town Coleshill scoring in the 88th minute to level the scores 3-3 after Worcester went in half time 3-1 up. A 3-0 at the County Sports ground over relegation threatened Rugby Town. The Royal played two consecutive away games, they beat Lye Town 3-0, but the following Saturday lost at play-off rivals Anstey Nomads 2-1.

The last two Saturdays have seen wins over Coventry Sphinx at home, followed by the already mentioned win on Saturday at Boldmere 2-0.

Top scorer for Worcester City this season is the impressive Kyle Belmonte who is well known to Darlaston supporters of his due to his success at Worcester Raiders, he has scored 12 goals by ex- Studley forward Zac Guinan who is on nine with Liam Lockett. Next on the list is Felix Miles with eight so far this season..

When the clubs met earlier this season at the Paycare Stadium back in the first week of October Darlaston won 2-0 thanks to goals from Lewis Gill and Aaron Bishop both in the opening 25 minutes of the game.

As we say every week there is certainly no easy fixtures and tomorrow night will certainly be not one. Worcester will be looking to continue their excellent recent form and will certainly be looking for all three points tomorrow evening to continue their aim to make the play-offs and earn promotion, whereas Darlaston‘s management team will face yet another David versus Goliath game when they will start as underdogs.

Darlaston are in the middle of a very busy period playing twice weekly catching up on recent postponements, this is bound to have an effect on player fitness. We are sure manager Dean Gill will access this during today and this evening.
