Darlaston Town are travelling to Wolverhampton Sporting Community tomorrow evening for a mid-season friendly

Simon Cox10 Mar - 13:24

This is an important fixture for both clubs for very different reasons

Darlaston Town tomorrow evening travel to our great friends at Wolverhampton Sporting Community for a mid-season friendly at their pride Park Ground kick off 7.45 pm.

The fixture provides an ideal opportunity for both clubs Wolverhampton Sporting to play a competitive game because they have been without a league game for several weeks and their next league game is not until 22nd March when they went, they welcome Shawbury United to Pride Park. Darlaston Town meanwhile are sure to use the opportunity to put minutes into the legs of players who have not had much pitch time recently as we look to enter the business end of the season.

Last summer in the FA reorganisation of the leagues, Wolverhampton Sporting were moved laterally into the North West Counties League Division One South from the Midland Football League Division One along with Shawbury United and Allscott Heath. The move was a huge shock to the Committee, management team and players at the club, because the move was not expected.

Wolverhampton Sporting Community are managed by ex-Darlaston Town manager Mark Swann assisted by another Darlaston stalwart in Anthony Follows. Also, within the squad, there are several ex Darlaston players such as Ronee Hendricks Khalil Harrison Connor Fellows, and Sam Giles so will be an ideal opportunity for Darlaston supporters, players and committee to renew old friendships

Kick off is at 7:45 pm gates will open at 6 pm.

Admission £5 for adults, under 16s free (accompanied by an adult).

The address for the game is
Wolverhampton Sporting Community
Pride Park
Hazel Lane
Great Wryley

It is hoped that many Darlaston supporters will make the trip up the M6 to tomorrow night not only to support Darlaston but also Wolverhampton Sporting Community who have a agreed to host us for tomorrow evenings game.
