After the disappointment of Wednesday’s loss at the Paycare Stadium to Racing Club Warwick, Darlaston have the opportunity to put things right tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Shepshed Dynamo for a NPL Midlands Division league game.
Tomorrow’s opponents finished in mid table las season, but this season they are currently 20th in the division after playing 10 games, they have won once, lost four and drawn five games the most in the league.
Shepshed’s only win of the season so far came at Hinckley LR in mid-August when they won 2-1. Following that game Shepshed Dynamo have drawn away Rugby Town and Grantham Town and drawn at home against Wellingborough Town, AFC Rushton and Diamonds and Boldmere St. Michaels.
So far they have lost at Coventry Shinx, Bedworth United, Walsall Wood and last Tuesday night 2-1 in a big local derby against Loughborough Students, the Students scoring the winner in the 88 minute.
Shepshed were beaten in the opening rounds of both the Emirates FA Cup and Isuzu FA Trophy, on opening day of the season Northern Counties East Premier Division side Winterton Rangers won 3-0 and in the Isuzuz FA Trophy Shepshed were beaten 6-1 at fellow NPL Midlands Division side Anstey Nomads.
Dangermen for tomorrow’s fixture include June David Miller Kyle Dixon and Chad Timpson all with two goals each and forward Tristan Dunkley scored his first goal of the season against Loughborough Dynamo on Tuesday.
After Wednesday’s loss Darlaston will of course want to get back to winning ways as soon as possible Aaron Bishop will be missing gain tomorrow as he serves the last game of his two game suspension. But with the new additions to the squad this week, the clubs manager Dean Gill and his management team will be looking at every way possible to get something out of tomorrows game.
